Our Advisory Board is made up of a phenomenal group of experts, local influencers, community leaders, conservationists, scientists, and sustainability-minded individuals. In addition to their commitment to the preservation and future of Bay Point Island, these individuals are recognized for their achievements in the fields of ecotourism, community leadership, conservation, science, education, solar solutions, wellness and sustainability.

Tracy Pitcher
Board President
Tracy has spent her wide-ranging career in communications, joining Comcast in 2009 and currently, the Division Senior Vice President of Comcast Business. Tracy believes in giving back to the communities in which she works and lives supporting a variety of non-profit organizations from holding board seats to program development and fund-raising activities. Some of Those agencies include The Boys and Girls Club of Manchester, NH, City Year, Girls Inc., Hoffman-Haas Fellowship, and the Massachusetts Business Roundtable committee on Workforce and Childhood Development.
Tracy graduated from WICT’s Betsy Magness Leadership Institute, and completed Executive Programs from Harvard Business School, Stanford Graduate Business School, and Wharton Business School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Jeanette Schnars, Ph.D.
Executive Director
Dr. Schnars has been the Executive Director of the RSC since 2007. She received her B.S. degree in Biology from The Pennsylvania State University with a Minor in Marine Science. After working for the U.S. Geological Survey on researching sea turtle populations at Padre Island National Seashore, TX, she continued her education at the State University of New York College at Buffalo, earning a M.S. degree in Biology researching the migrations of sea turtle hatchlings in Costa Rica. She earned her Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University in Wildlife and Fisheries Science researching the effects of contaminants on the common snapping turtle and their hatchlings. Dr. Schnars continues to conduct research on the ecology of fisheries, turtles, wetlands, and bacterial contamination in Lake Erie. She is the recipient of the Pennsylvania Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence for her use of technology and remote sensing on Lake Erie. Dr. Schnars currently serves as a faculty member for a local college, in addition to being an active board member and chairing many committees.

Founded in 1991, Construction Art, a subsidiary of Art ventures was ranked within the 2015 Top 500 Solar Contractors by Solar Power World and SEIA.

Cheryl Ricer
Advisory Board Member
Cheryl Ricer joins The Bay Point Island Foundation bringing with her a wealth of experience in education and publishing as a writer, editor, and social media manager, as well as in fitness and wellness as a Yoga Alliance Certified 500-hour RYT, (the highest level of achievement in the industry), and as a former studio and retreat business owner. A lifelong philanthropist and community leader, Cheryl started serving her local communities in some capacity as a teenager and has carried the spirit of volunteerism, wellness and activism through her career, and now, to the Bay Point Island Foundation.

Joe Mina
Advisory Board Member
Mr. Mina has over 25 years of experience in civil engineering and project management for private and municipal clients located all along the east coast and into the Caribbean. He is accomplished in land planning, low-impact developments, Traditional Neighborhoods, Smart Growth, and sustainable design projects. Mr. Mina's expertise includes permitting, zoning ordinance compliance, roadway design and vertical and horizontal alignment, sanitary sewer systems, site grading design, and earthwork analysis. He is also skilled in designing storm sewers, roadway culverts, storm water management, best management practices, erosion and sediment pollution controls, and conducts river modeling and floodplain analysis.

Josh K. Tiller
Advisory Board Member
Josh's design skills encompass a mastery of multiple levels of sustainable design expertise from conceptual planning to final entitlements. He possesses a command of landscape architectural and planning project experience varying in scales from large PUD master plans to pocket parks, both locally and throughout the southeastern region for both private and public clientele. Throughout Josh’s career he has been recognized as a leading authority in landscape architecture through his work having won various national awards and honors.
